The ACT Supreme Court keeps a rolling associate register. Applications stay current for one year from receipt. Individual chambers also advertise their own positions. Justice White's associate expression of interest closed on 8 July 2026. Applicants need a law degree at or near completion before starting, a strong academic record and research skills. Associates generally work on a 12 month contract. Some are extended for a further year as senior associate.
