What we consider
We welcome questions about careers, workplace relationships and professional life. Responses offer general professional perspectives. They are not legal advice or an assessment of your individual rights, claims or proceedings.
What to leave out
Do not include confidential client information, privileged material, names or identifying details about colleagues, workplaces or other people. Our editors may decline a question or ask you to reframe it. We review the edited question and response before publication.
Anonymity and editorial permission
Your question is private when submitted. By accepting the submission permission, you allow The Profession to edit, publish and promote an approved version with your identity withheld. We may shorten or generalise details to protect anonymity. Submission does not guarantee publication or an individual response.
You may provide private contact details for follow-up. If you leave them out, we cannot discuss edits with you. Contact details and internal editorial notes are excluded from published questions and contributor previews.
Your information
The submission privacy notice explains access, retention and how to contact us about your information. Please contact the editors promptly if you need to withdraw a question before publication.
