Eastern Community Legal Centre
Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC) has provided free multidisciplinary legal assistance to Melbourne's eastern suburbs since 1974, covering the Boroondara, Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges municipalities from offices in Box Hill and Healesville plus outreach sites. It offers legal advice and casework on family violence, neighbourhood disputes and debt, specialist intervention order and elder abuse programs, community legal education, and law reform advocacy, supported by over 100 volunteers. ECLC also runs the Deakin Student Legal Service, providing free legal advice to Deakin University students at the Burwood campus — covered under this entry rather than listed separately.
